Our Heritage
In 1975, Central States Thermo King was founded with the purchase of the Thermo King dealership in Kansas City, Kansas.
In 1977, the Central States Thermo King family grew with the addition of a Thermo King dealership in Wichita, Kansas. Since 1977, Central States Thermo King has enlarged its Kansas holdings to include service coverage in Salina, Garden City, and Dodge City, Kansas, giving it an exclusive sales territory that includes the entire state of Kansas.
Development outside of Kansas was still an objective for Central States, and in 1989, to meet new and emerging service markets involving technology-based opportunities, Central States invested in a company that was located in Kansas City, Kansas, which eventually evolved into Central States Special Products.
In 1995, Central States acquired the Thermo King dealership in St. Louis, Missouri continuing its goal of expansion.
In 1998 our St. Louis operation expanded its service coverage to Mount Vernon, Illinois.
In 2004, we adopted our new identity: CSTK. At CSTK, we pride ourselves on our dedication to customer service and satisfaction. Today, our territories include Kansas, two-thirds of Missouri, the Southern half of Illinois, and the Eastern half of Oklahoma.
Our product list contains transport refrigeration, temperature control, fire suppression systems, truck and trailer repair, and much, much more…In short, we offer solutions to our customers located in the Midwest and beyond.
